Team Mentors

BPC mentorship. Teams are encouraged to engage a mentor through the UNM Business Plan Competition program office or the New Mexico business community.

The UNM Business Plan Competition (BPC) program office can help match student teams with mentors who:

  • Have a proven record in the entrepreneurial community
  • Have served as partners in New Mexico venture capital firms
  • Have been an angel investor
  • Are experienced business executives

BPC mentors will introduce themselves at the BPC Kickoff mixer and roundtable on September 15, 2016

Students will be able to meet potential entrepreneurial mentors in person.

Lisa Adkins

  • Received her BS in Management Information Systems from Anderson School of Management

Phil Askenazy, Ph.D.

  • Specializes in intellectual property licensing, technology commercialization, and business planning
  • Provides patent prosecution and analysis in the areas of materials, optics, semiconductors, chemical engineering and electro-mechanical devices
  • Received his B.A. in Physics from Harvard University, his M.S. in Applied Physics and his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from the California Institute of Technology
